The UNB WARM lab team takes their first "zap" at electrofishing on July 11 2018 at Cross Creek NB. In preparation for our fish community work in Northern New Brunswick later in the summer, we decided some practice was in needed electrofishing as a group. The sun was shining and the sculpin were out... who could ask for anything better? 22 slimy sculpin were captured, measured, weighed and released with zero casualties. The largest weighed in at a hefty 4.18g and was 74mm long!! Stay tuned as trial run #2 is right around the corner! #firstimesacharm #UNB #electrofishing
